Disputes - international:
Iceland, the UK, and Ireland dispute Denmark's claim that the Faroe Islands' continental shelf extends beyond 200 nm; the EFTA Surveillance Authority is taking Iceland to court, claiming the country violated the EEA agreement in failing to pay minimum compensation to Icesave depositors; EU fisheries ministers oppose Iceland's self-imposed high mackerel quota and the country may face sanctions in early 2012 unless the dispute can be resolved between the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Norway, the EU and the UK
